Every night, a dog up for adoption “cries,” and the shelter shares a heartbreaking picture as a last resort.

It is astounding how many dogs are abandoned at a shelter by their owners, left bewildered and in agony. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) estimates that.

Half of the 6.5 million pets that are discarded like a bag of garbage each year in the United States are dogs. Fortunately, only half of these animals find new homes;

The other half must live alone in cramped quarters for the rest of their lives or, worse, be put down to make room for more discarded animals that have a higher chance of finding homes.

Even if an animal at a shelter has a far better life than one on the streets, they still don’t get the love, care, and exercise they are entitled to. Numerous of these pets would provide joy to another home.
