A popular drink left Lancashire’s four-year-old Marnie Moore “floppy and unconscious,” prompting her distraught mother to warn other parents of little children.
Kim Moore, the girl’s mother, bought her two girls one-liter refillable cups of slushy drinks when they were at a children’s party. Marnie periodically sipped from the drink as she was playing.
But eventually, she began to exhibit indications of anxiety. Her mother thought the girl was just weary since she grew so drowsy. However, Kim quickly realized that something.
Significant was happening. When I attempted to rouse her up five minutes later, I discovered that she was indeed unconscious and not waking up. “She had turned very pale,” Kim said.
She wasn’t rousing at all, and I believe my mother sensed that something wasn’t quite right. She was utterly unconscious and floppy.
