Why people in Australia are being told that there may be more earthquakes

An earthquake that rocked people awake throughout a portion of Australia’s east coast is predicted to cause aftershocks.

Seismologists from Geoscience Australia said that the earthquake occurred around 2.55 am on Wednesday close to Singleton in the NSW Hunter Valley, some 200 kilometers north of Sydney.

After being revised to 4.6, its magnitude was first recorded at 5.1. There have been no reports of injuries due to the tremor.

Despite receiving multiple calls from worried citizens, the NSW State Emergency Service only reported attending to one incident.

Just after three in the morning, a water line burst at a Rutherford property close to Maitland, necessitating the use of sandbags.

Phil Cummins, a senior seismologist with Geoscience Australia, stated that the tremor was felt between Port Macquarie and Wollongong.

As concerns about serial killers grow, police speak out after eight individuals are discovered dead in the area in a matter of weeks.
