Jiggly Caliente, a Pose actor and RuPaul’s Drag Race star, passed away at the age of 44, according to her family.
A’severe infection’ led to the amputation of a portion of the drag artist’s leg, which was reported on Thursday. The performer participated in the original US competition during season four.
In addition to appearing in the popular LGBTQ+ drama Pose, Caliente, whose actual name is Bianca Castro, was scheduled to judge the most recent season of the spin-off show Drag Race Philippines.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente,” her family posted on Instagram in a statement on Sunday.
On April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, Bianca died quietly in the company of her devoted family and close friends.
The Drag Race star passed away a few days after her family revealed that she had experienced “a serious health setback” and that an infection had forced her to have a portion of her leg amputated.
