This acting instructor received a lifelong ban from teaching after sending a student a naked selfie.
At the Ripplevale School in Rochester, Kent, Megan Lanning, 36, was a music and performing arts teacher when she gave the pupil two obscene pictures.
According to testimony in a teacher misconduct hearing, Lanning was ‘half-naked showing her boobs’ in one of the pictures.
She acknowledged transmitting a sexual image that “may be interpreted as her engaging in a sexual act” in the other.
In February of last year, the humiliated educator informed the independent day school’s safeguarding supervisors that she had “inappropriate feelings” for the student.
