At least nine people are hurt in the Glendale shooting as police pursue several gunman.

Gunfire broke out in an Arizona restaurant hosting a Cinco de Mayo celebration on Sunday night, leaving at least nine people shot.

Stunned witnesses described a flurry of gunfire coming from a Glendale steakhouse near the intersection of Glendale and Grand avenues at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Sunday night, causing panic.

As chaos broke out at El CamarĂ³n Gigante, police got a number of anxious 911 calls.

Dozens of individuals of all ages were there for a family-friendly Cinco de Mayo celebration.

According to one witness, there were over 20 bullets fired, and the gunfire continued for 15 to 20 seconds before 10 additional shots were heard 30 seconds later.

Moroni Mendez, the public information officer for Glendale Police, described a scene of haste and confusion during a tense press briefing at approximately 9 p.m.
