Early on Saturday morning, a tree crashed on the Georgia house of a 10-year-old girl, killing her while she was slept.
Around three in the morning, A’erica Dixon, who her family calls Tink, was at her house on Mims Street SW in west Atlanta when a tree fell.
The little child was lying in bed next to her grandma, Priscilla Dixon, when tragedy struck, according to a GoFundMe page started by her cousin, Tomeka Dixon.
Along with her two sisters and brother, the girl’s mother, Santice Dixon, was trapped by the fallen tree inside the home at the time.
A’erica tragically passed away from her wounds, but Santice and Priscilla were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Dixon family’s fundraiser website states that Priscilla shattered her pelvis and is now crippled in one leg.
