A woman who was nearly decapitated, raped, and disemboweled during a horrifying attack in South Africa is featured in a true crime podcast thirty years after the incident.

A South African woman has written a book on her horrifying experience of being kidnapped, raped, disemboweled, and almost beheaded.

At the age of 27, Alison Botha suffered a terrible attack in which her partially severed skull “flopped backwards and almost rested between [her] shoulder blades,” forcing her to clutch onto her intestines.

On December 18, 1994, she drove home to her Port Elizabeth apartment after an evening with friends while she was employed as an insurance broker.

The horror started as Alison was reaching for her laundry on the passenger seat after parking her car.

She recalled how a blonde man shoved his way inside her vehicle and left her transfixed with horror.
