Mandi Masterpole described how, in order to get through college, she took prescription medicines for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), using them as “study drugs” to combat exhaustion.
She revealed that when she was just 17, she took drugs like Adderall and Ritalin, but when she entered college to become a mortician, she found herself using them every day.
Mandi developed an addiction to what she was informed was “legal speed” as a student in order to get through her coursework and childcare jobs, as well as to get through late-night parties.
“I remember my eyes lighting up, the colors seemed to be brighter,” the New Jersey native stated when talking about how the stimulants made her feel. It all appeared to be bright.
