Days after taking over as leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Leo XIV gave a stirring speech on peace at his first Sunday blessing at the Vatican.

Pope Leo XIV, whose real name is Robert Francis Prevost, was elected by the conclave just days after Pope Francis passed away, marking a new era for the Catholic Church.

Pope Leo, who is 69 years old, is the 267th pope to head the Church and the first pontiff to be born in the United States.
