Legendary Wrestler Sabu Died at 60… Weeks After His Retirement Match

Three weeks after competing in his retirement rumble, wrestling star Sabu passed away, according to All Elite Wrestling.

In a post regarding the star’s passing, the major wrestling organization expressed gratitude for his “unforgettable high-risk moments” and claimed that he gave the wrestling world his all.

AEW offers its condolences to his friends and family. The reason of death was not disclosed by the organization.

When Sabu, whose real name is Terry Brunk, was in his early 20s, he began his wrestling career under the tutelage of his uncle Edward “The Sheik” Farhat.

His major break came in 1991 when he became well-known in Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, where he sustained torso and arm scars that made him famous.
