Tragic tale of a lawyer who died after falling while attempting to demonstrate the strength of skyscraper windows

A Canadian lawyer tragically fell to his death after going to great efforts to demonstrate that a window was impenetrable.

Garry Hoy, a 38-year-old lawyer at the Holden Day Wilson law firm, crashed through a window on the 24th level of the Toronto-Dominion Center and fell to his death.

According to the Mirror, Hoy, a well-known lawyer with an engineering background, had been fascinated by the safety features of the tower where his firm was located.

He was especially interested in the office windows’ longevity because they were said to be impenetrable.

Hoy would frequently throw his body against the windows to display the strength of the glass and its ability to withstand damage from bystanders.

At a reception held at his firm on the 24th floor of a tower in Toronto’s Financial District on July 9, 1993, Hoy was showing a group of students how sturdy the window was.

After being arrested, a woman known as “Zombie Angelina Jolie” reveals her true appearance.
