Lagouna Beach, California – There has been identification of a guy slain in Laguna Beach during a driving lesson with his teenage daughter.
What we know: Around 4:15 p.m., on Coast Highway between Wesley and Montage Resort drives, the deadly incident occurred Monday, May 26.
Police said that a 15-year-old girl with a driver’s permit smashed through a fence in the upper parking lot of the now-shuttered Gelson’s Market at 24 Monarch Bay Plaza.
The car then tore across a fence line, slid forty feet down an embankment, then flipped upside down onto the highway.
The girl was hospitalized after suffering major injuries. Police report she is likely to survive.
The lone passenger in the car was her father, James Politoski, 64, Laguna Beach. He passed away right on scene.
What we still don’t know: The collision’s origin is still under inquiry. The Laguna Beach Police Department is still looking into the incidence.
