Judge throws out involuntary manslaughter prosecution of Alec Baldwin, almost three years after Halyna Hutchins’s death.
Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer ruled that Baldwin’s case will be dismissed due to wrongdoing by the police and prosecutors on Friday (12 July).
Following this announcement, 66-year-old Baldwin hugged his 40-year-old wife Hilaria Baldwin.
After cinematographer Hutchins was shot and died on the set of Rust in 2021, the actor was accused of involuntary manslaughter, a claim he has always denied.
