Tragic inner tube accident kills 49-year-old Top Chef Masters star Naomi Pomeroy.

Tragically, 49-year-old Naomi Pomeroy has passed away. Tragically, Pomeroy, who gained fame as a contestant on Top Chef Masters, has died as a result of an inner tube accident.

The star’s drowning in the Willamette River at about 8:25 PM on Saturday (July 13) was confirmed on Tuesday by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in Portland, Oregon.

“An investigation by BCSO determined three adults recreating on tubes and a paddle board (two tubes were secured together and the paddle board was attached to Naomi),

became entangled on an exposed snag in the water,” according to a press statement from the agency.

“One of the adults, Naomi, was pulled under the water and unable to free herself due to the paddleboard leash,” according to the report.
