Celine Dion makes her return on the stage at the Olympic Opening Ceremony after a diagnosis of stiff person syndrome

Celine Dion made her triumphant return to the stage after devastatingly revealing her diagnosis with “stiff person syndrome” during tonight’s 2024 Olympics opening ceremony in Paris.

The first-ever Olympic opening ceremony did not take place in a stadium but rather along Paris’s La Seine river this evening (26 July), which was groundbreaking in and of itself.

Performers such as Lady Gaga, Zinedine Zidane, and even the Minions have put audiences in a state of “disbelief” during their appearances.

Celine Dion’s first performance after her diagnosis with “stiff person syndrome” was a stunning one, and it was easily the most remembered part of the event.

An emotional performance of “L’Hymne à l’amour” by the 56-year-old had the audience gasping for air.
