When Brittney Griner’s first child with wife Cherelle is born, they become “pops.”

Olympian Brittney Griner of Team USA has disclosed that she wants her youngster to call her “pops.”

The 33-year-old is scheduled to compete in her third straight Olympic competition tomorrow, July 27, when the US Women’s Basketball team takes on Japan in the Group C preliminary round.

The two-time gold medallist participated in the WNBA All-Star Weekend for Team USA Basketball prior to the summer games in Paris. She played 14 minutes and scored 10 points in the team’s 117-109 loss over Team WNBA.

However, Terrika Foster-Brasby, anchor of CBS Sports’ We Need To Talk, complimented Griner on becoming a mother with her 32-year-old wife Cherelle, only days before Griner took the court.
