An American teammate’s sister-in-law, 26, passes away tragically during the Paris Olympics

Upon landing in Paris for the Olympics, the sister-in-law of an athlete representing Team USA tragically passed away.

Maggie Steffens, a water polo athlete, is married to Bobby Conner, Lulu’s brother. Lulu is Maggie’s sister-in-law.

Maggie stated that she had been “so excited” to be watching the team in Paris, even if the circumstances surrounding Lulu’s death are unknown.

Maggie said to The Associated Press, “She was so excited for the Olympic Games.”
