Her family is paying homage to their “princess,” as the third victim of the terrible incident in Southport has been identified.
The Portuguese girl, Alice Aguiar, who was nine years old at the time of the incident, was taking a vacation dancing class themed after Taylor Swift on Monday, July 29.
“Princess Alice,” says a Facebook post translated by a relative named Carina Aguiar, who is supposedly Alice’s aunt.
In this period of immense suffering… it aches physically and psychologically. Feeling queasy. A joyful, innocent kid with a bright future ahead of her, you were always smiling and full of joy.
This vile creature did it for no apparent reason whatsoever; it showed no compassion and endured no agony.
The family has also been supported via a GoFundMe page that was put up by those who worked with Alice’s mother.
The terrible death of Alice, after yesterday’s terrible events in Southport, has shocked everyone here at Benridge Care Homes and Good Companions. This is only a little fraction of how the family must be feeling, the website says.
Alice has been involved with Good Companions since she was a little girl, attending many of our events and activities with our families and employees. Her father is an employee here, so she has always felt like she belongs here.
“Benridge Care Group would like to help support the family, so we kindly request donations towards costs that the family will be faced with.”
According to LBC, Portuguese authorities have said that “Portugal’s Consul General in Manchester is assisting the family, having spoken to her parents, and is continuing to offer them all the support they need.”
Two adults who were there are also in critical condition, and five other youngsters are. Two other children tragically perished in the incident as well. The kids were allegedly in a dance lesson with a Taylor Swift theme when something happened.
The horrific incident is not being investigated as a terrorist attack, but the police have said that they do not yet know the perpetrator’s motivation.
It is suspected that the assault occurred at a vacation club for youngsters aged six to eleven. Following the event,
Merseyside Police declared a major incident and responded with armed response, thirteen ambulances, and the fire department.
“When they arrived, they were shocked to find that multiple people, many of whom were children, had been subjected to a ferocious attack and suffered serious injuries,” said Serena Kennedy, chief constable of Merseyside police.
It has been determined that the incident occurred at a dancing school during a Taylor Swift concert, when a male intruder with a knife entered the building and began to assault the youngsters there.
“As a mother of two daughters and a grandmother of a five-year-old granddaughter, I am deeply sorry for the loss that the families of the victims are experiencing. Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to them during this difficult time.”
