Gena Rowlands, the star of “Notebook,” has passed away at the age of 94.

Gena Rowlands, who was renowned for her portrayal of Allie in “The Notebook,” has passed away, according to TMZ.

The retired actress passed away on Wednesday afternoon at her residence in Indian Wells, CA. She was surrounded by her family, which included her husband, Robert, and her daughter, Alexandra Cassavetes.

Additionally, we have been informed that her son, director Nick Cassavetes, had been present at the residence on numerous occasions this week.

Gena had been battling Alzheimer’s disease, although there is no official cause of mortality at this time.

Nick disclosed Gena’s diagnosis in June, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of “The Notebook,” the film he directed. The malady also affected Gena’s character in the film.
