Wally Amos, the creator of the renowned Amos Cookies, has passed away at the age of 88.

Wally Amos, the inventor of the Famous Amos Cookies brand, has passed away, as confirmed by his offspring, Shawn and Sarah Amos.

Wally, the cookie monarch, passed away on Tuesday at his residence in Honolulu, Hawaii, due to complications associated with dementia, according to his daughters.

After transforming a $25,000 loan into the Famous Amos Cookies empire, Wally rose to prominence in the culinary industry.

WA revolutionized the baked products industry by incorporating a recipe from his aunt that contained genuine ingredients, without the addition of any chemicals or pigment.

He initially established a single flagship store in Los Angeles, but subsequently expanded his brand to include packaged products that are frequently sold in grocery stores and vending machines.
