It is estimated that there are more than 7,000 languages spoken worldwide, with Mandarin, Spanish, and English being the most commonly spoken.

The last known speaker of N|uu is concerned that the species will become extinct, as it is classified as “critically endangered.” Katrina Esau, who is in her nineties, is determined to avert this from occurring.
