The aircraft was en route from Cascavel, Parana, to Guarulhos, São Paulo, and was carrying 62 individuals, including 58 passengers and four crew members.
The aircraft plummeted in the residential area of Vinhedo, which is home to over 80,000 people. São Paulo’s fire brigade responded promptly to the incident, and fortunately, no one was injured on the ground.
The ATR-72 turboprop aircraft departed Cascavel at 11:56 local time, delivering its final signal approximately an hour and a half later, as disclosed by the flight monitoring site Flightradar24.
