Fans are outraged by the shocking text message that Matthew Perry’s doctor is said to have sent. On October 28, 2023, emergency personnel found the 54-year-old actor unconscious at his Los Angeles home.
This led to the devastating news of Perry’s death. Perry was discovered unconscious in a hot tub when the authorities arrived on the scene around 4:00 PM.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office toxicology report, Perry’s death was caused by “the acute effects of ketamine.”
Prior to his death, the actor—who was most recognized for his part in the popular sitcom Friends—was reportedly receiving ketamine infusion treatment for anxiety and depression.
“At the high levels of ketamine found in his postmortem blood specimens, the main lethal effects would be from both cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression,” according to the paper.
