The couple’s vast families, who have been lifelong friends, were the first source of their connection. Before parting ways a few years ago, they had a short relationship.
Jana claims that even after their breakup, she and Wissmann kept in contact and “talked to each other on and off over the years.” Wissmann’s sister Hannah is married to Jana’s brother Jeremiah Duggar.
