Gibson Tyrese Mom Forced Me to Act Like I Have “Special Needs”—For That Government Cheese

Tyrese Gibson is opening up on a trying period in his childhood and disclosing a plan his mother came up with to try to assist with the family’s bills.

In a recent interview with King Gillie, the singer said that, when he was about 8 years old, his mother, Priscilla Murray Gibson, forced him to pretend to have special needs in order for them to get a sizable Social Security payment.

The ‘Fast & Furious’ star specifically said that Priscilla forced him to “play r*****ed” in order to get an additional $762 from the government to assist his hardworking mother and their family.

Tyrese considered the deception to be his “first acting gig,” while Wallo, King Gillie’s cohost, referred to Priscilla as his “first director.”
