Following the release of her mysterious Instagram post on Monday about women in relationships, the 52-year-old actress made her public account private.
One of the quotes on Jada’s post was, “A man can CHOOSE to belong to someone.” And if he succeeds,
people see him as honorable. It is said to women, “You HAVE to belong to someone or else you are not worthy.”
The Girls Trip actress seemed to weigh in on the quote’s meaning as she considered it in the post’s description.
“The goddess is rendered helpless in some of our greatest religious traditions if she does not have a masculine equivalent.
And in others, Mother’s, or the feminine’s, spiritual influence is not even acknowledged,” the author said. “We mere mortal women are worthy simply because we exist!”
