After Matthew Gaudreau’s terrible death, almost $550,000 has been donated to his wife and their unborn child.

Last Thursday, August 29, Matthew, 29, and his brother, Johnny Gaudreau, 31, of the Columbus Blue Jackets, tragically perished while bicycling in Oldmans Township, Salem County, New Jersey.

Sean Higgins, a suspected intoxicated driver, struck the boys tragically while attempting to pass another vehicle, according to New Jersey State Police, as reported by PEOPLE.

Since then, the motorist has been placed in prison after being detained and accused of two charges of vehicular death. The inquiry is still on.
