There has been a lot of discussion on whether overweight passengers should have to pay for an additional seat after a picture of a large man on an aircraft fighting to squeeze between
the armrests was shared. As the guy crammed himself into his aisle seat on a Monday aircraft from Helsinki to Copenhagen, a fellow passenger grabbed his picture.
“This individual was seated behind me during my flight from Helsinki to Copenhagen yesterday,” the Facebook user who captured the image remarked. He must have been really uncomfortable
during the little trip, and I felt bad for the person in the middle seat next to him. “Perhaps it’s time for airlines to handle these kinds of situations with consideration and tact.”
The guy said that since the bigger passenger was “protruding into the aisle,” other passengers had to make place for him as they made their way to the restroom.
