Amy Schumer said in a candid health update that she was “bedridden” after Ozempic.
The 43-year-old comedian recently disclosed a number of extremely intimate health details in a series of open interviews and social media posts, including a fight with Cushing syndrome, a rare condition brought on by extended exposure to high cortisol levels.
In an interview with Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, Schumer revealed, “If the internet hadn’t come for me so hard, I wouldn’t have known [about Cushing’s Syndrome].”
About “a year ago, the Internet really came for [her]” with derogatory remarks about her appearance, she clarified. At first, she dismissed it. “I said, ‘All right, everyone, just relax,'” she said to Cooper.
However, when doctors joined in, the conversation became serious.
In the comments, doctors were saying things like, ‘No, no, something’s truly awry. She remarked, “Your face looks so crazy.”
