China Responds Strongly to Trump’s Decision of 245% Tariffs

President Donald Trump is intensifying the trade conflict between the United States and China, which has recently escalated to new heights.

According to Newsweek, Trump is now threatening to impose tariffs on Chinese goods of up to 245%, further raising the stakes in the ongoing economic dispute.

White House officials explained that the tariffs are a response to “retaliatory actions” from China, justifying the move as part of the broader trade tensions between the two countries.

This comes after a series of escalating measures, including Trump’s announcement earlier this month of 145% tariffs on Chinese imports, a move he referred to as “Liberation Day.”

In response, Beijing swiftly imposed significant measures, including a ban on Chinese airlines purchasing from Boeing and implementing 125% tariffs on American products. These actions have created a major setback in component procurement.
