According to the sheriff’s release, “the father went downstairs and quickly retrieved a handgun after telling the suspect that he was calling the police.”
Officials said that “the suspect pushed past the father and then ran out the front door” at that point.
The father fired three rounds “into the ground near the front porch of the residence” as Kramer, wearing only a shirt, ran through the front yard.
Authorities quickly established a perimeter after the incident, which happened in the 700 block of Brittany Trail, according to WKRC.
Deputies soon located Kramer’s abandoned car and keys nearby, despite their early difficulty in finding the culprit.
