They found more than seven terabytes of digital evidence, home security footage, and mobile phone data that included explicit photos, videos, and text messages about the abuse.
Both men acknowledged in later interviews that they had abused their boys sexually for years after adopting them via a Christian organization that is now no longer in operation in 2018.
They informed authorities that they had done this by forcing the lads to have oral sex and sodomizing them.

Lawless reportedly reported to the authorities that the Zulocks had “multiple times” offered him their youngsters.
After downloading a significant quantity of child porn, which the authorities linked to his Gmail address, Lawless was taken into custody.
After acknowledging that Zachary had given him material about child sex assault, Lawless was given a 20-year prison sentence, of which the first 12 would be spent behind bars.
