Adults between the ages of 45 and 75 should get a colorectal cancer screening, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
“Most people should begin screening for colorectal cancer soon after turning 45, then continue getting screened at regular intervals,” according to the CDC’s website.

According to the CDC, individuals who have a personal or family history of colorectal cancer or polyps, inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis,
Or genetic syndromes like familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) or hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer (Lynch syndrome) may want to pursue earlier screening.
