A mother was discovered dead after she attempted to sell a two-year-old child on the street for £1 million ($1.2 million) while keeping the child in a cage.
According to the Daily Mail, police were called to a residence on Main Street in Ochiltree, East Ayrshire, on Thursday, April 4, when they found Claire Boyle’s death.
In a statement, a Police Scotland spokeswoman stated: “Police were called to a property in the Main Street area of Ochiltree, following the sudden death of a woman, at approximately 7AM on Thursday, April 4, 2024.”
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal,” according to The Mirror.
Boyle had multiple prior convictions for child neglect and was thought to be in her late 30s.
According to The Sun, the mother was found guilty in 2021 of neglecting a four-year-old child to such an extent that doctors were concerned he would have blood cancer or a blood clotting issue.
