After the high school event, a Burger King employee who worked a last-minute shift wearing graduation attire received over $100,000 in donations.

Mykale Baker, 18, had different plans while the majority of high school graduates were out having fun with friends and family. His diligence has paid off!

Baker, still sporting his graduation stole and medals, worked at his neighborhood Burger King just hours after graduating from Mills Creek High School in Georgia.

Maria Mendoza, a fellow graduate mother, took a picture of the occasion, which soon went viral and transformed Baker’s life.

“This Is How Determination Looks.”
According to the New York Post, Mendoza, who had recently witnessed her own daughter graduate from the same high school, observed the teenager behind the drive-thru window at around 10:00 PM on May 21.
