After the high school event, a Burger King employee who worked a last-minute shift wearing graduation attire received over $100,000 in donations.

In the video, Baker stated, “Thank you so much. I was considering taking a gap year because I didn’t have enough money for school, but thank you to all of you now, I might actually go straight to technical college and get my mechanical (sic).”

“I’m really grateful; I never imagined this would happen to me,” he continued.

A Moment That Changes Your Life
The teenager now has a clear route ahead of him after considering postponing his college ambitions because of financial difficulties.

“I never imagined it would happen to me, but I always watched people on YouTube get cool surprises,” Baker said.

“His dedication and quiet strength really moved me,” Mendoza told 11 Alive after the event. To acknowledge it, I felt compelled to take action. I’m just thankful that I was able to help him.

Mykale, congratulations!
