Authorities Issue Statement After Woman Has ‘Heart Removed’ On Vacation

Martin’s family claimed an autopsy in the U.K. revealed that her heart was missing, and it has not been possible to confirm her cause of death — a scenario that could trigger both forensic pathology reviews and claims for bodily integrity violations.

Contrary to this, the Turkish health ministry has now released a statement, saying Martin’s cause of death was from ‘cardiac arrest due to multiple organ failure.’ This could point to undiagnosed cardiovascular conditions, organ toxicity, or systemic infections, which are often flagged by advanced lab testing procedures.

The statement reads:

“The patient was recorded in the hospital records as a ‘forensic case’ in line with the statement of Martin’s wife that they may have been poisoned by a meal they ate in their country before the trip, and the initial findings.”

Officials also insist Martin did not undergo any surgery and state that her initial autopsy was non-invasive and didn’t involve any incisions — a claim now being scrutinized by legal experts in postmortem procedures and international health rights advocates.

Following this first autopsy, she was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Institute for a second autopsy.
