Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow shared a video of her Tesla being towed away in February along with a statement that she was giving NPR the proceeds from the sale.
On Instagram, Crow commented, “There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with.” “Goodbye, Tesla.”
Out of concern for vandalism or support for Musk, some Tesla owners who haven’t sold their cars have admitted to changing them to hide the make and model.
Those who disagree with Musk’s divisive opinions have destroyed Tesla dealerships and products globally by spray painting, setting them on fire, and other means.
Since Musk shifted his focus to politics, Tesla’s stock has also suffered.
In the meantime, Trump has used his position to urge people to purchase Teslas and to threaten harsh penalties for anyone who destroys them.
