Ellen and Portia have adopted a more tranquil lifestyle in the UK since selling their $32 million Montecito estate in 2024. Following Donald Trump’s victory in November of last year, the action was taken. Despite having originally lived in the Cotswolds, they were compelled to move to another adjacent property in Oxfordshire due to flooding caused by Storm Bert.
Ellen recently posted a video of herself cutting grass with the comment, “Portia thought it would be fun to film my first time on the mower,” giving fans a peek into her new life. She was correct. She also unveiled a striking new style, switching from her trademark blonde pixie cut to brown hair.
The remembrance of Augie
Ellen’s homage extended beyond words. She shared a slideshow of pictures of Augie over the years, including her cuddling with Portia, relaxing in their kitchen, and soaking up the sun. “Thank you for all of your kind messages about Augie,” she wrote when she returned to Instagram a few days later, addressing her 136 million followers.
She also shared a heartfelt video clip that was shot a few weeks prior to Augie’s passing. It showed Ellen talking about her skincare brand, Kind Science, as the puppy slept in Portia’s lap. “I don’t care what Portia says, please don’t call me the Deal Queen,” Ellen said at the end of the piece. Augie, you are loved.
Although Portia hasn’t discussed the death in public, she is renowned for maintaining a low profile on the internet.
