Life After Daytime TV
Since The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended in 2022 after over 20 years on the air, Ellen has stayed largely quiet. Ellen was forced to think after the 2020 workplace misconduct crisis. She told The Hollywood Reporter, “I have to just have faith that whatever happened during that time, which was obviously very, very difficult, happened for a reason.”
She made a brief comeback to the public eye in 2024 with the Netflix special Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval, but it was poorly received and only garnered a 33% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
