Musk was the target of the press conference’s opening question, which focused on a New York Times article that claimed Elon had used narcotics extensively in the previous two years.
According to the Times piece, Elon admitted to telling individuals that he was “taking so much ketamine, a powerful anesthetic, that it was affecting his bladder.” He allegedly brought a “daily medication box that held about 20 pills, including ones with the markings of the stimulant Adderall,” according to sources who spoke to the site. Psychedelic mushrooms and ecstasy are also discussed.
When asked how he felt about the White House news, Elon attacked the Times, accusing them of exploding “Russiagate” and winning a Pulitzer Prize for their coverage.
Recall that Donald Trump and some Republicans refer to the probe into his purported connections to the Russian government and whether or not his purported collaboration aided him in winning the 2016 presidential election as “Russiagate.” For their coverage of the story, The Times and the Washington Post split the Pulitzer Prize.
The Russian government did meddle in the election, according to a special counsel inquiry headed by former FBI Director Robert Mueller, but no conspiracy or coordination was established.
