The White House acknowledged that his off-boarding process had started. According to a person with knowledge of the matter, the choice was taken “at a senior staff level,” as reported by The Guardian.
Despite Musk’s brief 130-day stay, his regular attendance at Cabinet meetings, the Oval Office, and even Air Force One made his presence known.
However, fissures had started to appear.
Musk argued with cabinet officials and called Peter Navarro, the White House trade adviser, a “moron.” Additionally, he was frustrated by an agreement between Abu Dhabi and OpenAI, which he tried to sabotage unless his business was involved.
