Following the casting of Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr., Marvel was criticized for “whitewashing” Doctor Doom.

Since then, Marvel has formally revealed the whole cast for Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released on May 1, 2026, as part of the MCU’s Phase Six.

Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) are among the returning actors. Among the newcomers are Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Winston Duke (M’Baku), Letitia Wright (Shuri), and Simu Liu (Shang-Chi).

The Avengers roster will also include the Fantastic Four cast, which is led by Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic).

The Russo brothers will helm the movie, and work on it will start in the UK.
