“Witness-Captured Road Rage Incident Leads to Arrest and Fundraiser for Victim”
The entire violent altercation was captured on camera by witnesses. Kwesiah was taken into custody by the Attleboro Police Department and faced charges for operating without a license, malicious destruction of property, assault and battery with a dedly weapon, and causing serious injury. He was held on a $25,000 bond.
Despite the traumatic event, Soares expressed relief at being able to return home to her children. Following the incident, a family friend set up a GoFundMe campaign to assist with medical expenses, as well as costs for her children’s necessities, rent, and utilities while she is unable to work. The campaign has already raised more than $31,000 of the $40,000 goal.
In an interview with ABC-TV News, Soares shared her thoughts on the incident, saying, “He could have been having a rough day, but I’m not sure. If this is the kind of person he is, I don’t believe he belongs in society with the rest of us.”
