Initially, Taylor faced a first-degree assault charge, which was later upgraded after the infant, Emmaleigh Barringer, passed away at the hospital.
According to reports, Emmaleigh was placed on life support for several days but was later declared brain inactive, leading to the removal of medical assistance.
Emmaleigh’s mother reportedly discovered her daughter and Taylor in the basement area of their apartment building.
