New York Cop Fired After Her Topless Picture Circulated Among the Police Force

A New York City cop who became the center of a sexual harassment lawsuit and privacy rights violation has officially been fired — and she’s not going quietly.

Alisa Bajraktarevic, 34, was dismissed from the NYPD on May 2 following a storm of controversy that included civil litigation, accusations of workplace misconduct, and a run-in involving her alleged drug-involved partner, per The New York Post.

Her firing comes two years after she was suspended for 30 days when she allegedly tried to stop officers from searching her then-partner’s car in the Bronx — an event that raises legal questions around probable cause, search and seizure law, and internal NYPD policy surrounding officer liability exposure.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch made the decision to terminate Bajraktarevic, who had worked in the Robbery Squad. The former officer from Yonkers claims her ousting wasn’t just disciplinary — she says it’s institutional retaliation, a recurring concern in employment law and whistleblower protection cases.

Bajraktarevic, who spent 12 years on the force, is suing the department over a topless photo privacy breach she said was shared in a group chat by a fellow officer she briefly dated. According to her lawsuit, she sent the image to Lt. Mark Rivera, who allegedly distributed it without consent to other officers — raising concerns about digital privacy violations, employer duty of care, and hostile work environment claims, all of which are frequent grounds for employment-related legal counsel.
