Rosie O’Donnell Shows Off Dramatic Weight Loss

Since then, she’s credited the medication — and major lifestyle changes — for helping her slim down. These shifts are often discussed in medical weight loss programs and clinical wellness initiatives that focus on reducing hospital costs associated with obesity-related conditions.

“I’ve lost more weight. I am on Mounjaro for my diabetes and one of the side effects is you lose weight,” she shared in a TikTok video earlier this year. “But it’s also because I had a chef for over two years in Los Angeles and I don’t have a chef now. It’s me cooking for Clay and me.”

Now living in Ireland with her 12-year-old child, Clay, O’Donnell said she’s adjusted to a different routine, which includes healthier eating and being more active — a strategy often suggested in chronic illness management programs, supported by employee wellness plans or private insurance lifestyle coaching reimbursements.

She’s also made a conscious effort to reduce sugar and stay hydrated — a cornerstone of both prediabetes care and preventive diagnostic regimens. These habits not only contribute to weight loss but are critical to reducing long-term healthcare expenses, especially in cases involving diabetic complications.

“My appetite has decreased significantly. It’s probably the meds. And I’m trying to move more. So, all those things combined, that’s what it is,” she previously explained.
