The actors who will portray Harry, Hermione, and Ron in the next Harry Potter television series have been announced by HBO.

Mark Mylod (Succession, Game of Thrones) will direct several episodes and act as executive producer, while showrunner and executive producer Francesca Gardiner, who has worked on Succession and His Dark Materials, is scripting the series.

“After an incredible search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are thrilled to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron,” Gardiner and Mylod said in a joint statement.

We can’t wait for the world to see these three exceptional performers’ combined enchantment on screen because of their incredible talent. We are grateful to the tens of thousands of kids who came to try out. Finding the abundance of youthful talent out there has been a true pleasure.

Although a release date has not yet been established, excitement is already running high as filming is anticipated to begin this summer.
