Jamie Lee Curtis has talked candidly about the traumatic event that led her to pursue plastic surgery.
In the James Bridges-directed drama Perfect (1985), Curtis costarred with John Travolta at the age of 25.
The main focus of the movie was the romance between Travolta’s character and Jessie Wilson, Curtis’s aerobics instructor. However, the behind-the-scenes reality left a lasting scar despite its dazzling plot and memorable moments, such as Curtis’s now-famous leotard workout.
The 66-year-old actress recalled a startling comment made by a cinematographer on set while appearing on 60 Minutes with Sharyn Alfonsi.
“Yeah, I’m not shooting her today,” he said. “Her eyes have a loose appearance,” she recalled. I was twenty-five. It was really awkward for him to say that. I ultimately had some plastic surgery as soon as the film was over.
The Halloween actress disclosed that she didn’t get the relaxation she had hoped for from the cosmetic surgery. She said, “When you’re 25 or 26, that’s just not what you want to do.” “I immediately regretted it and have kind of regretted it ever since.”
